Orange Dressing

You cannot replicate the freshness of a homemade citrus dressing in a store-bought version. This is so bright and light with a little umami taste from the sesame oil. It’s wonderful on a fresh salad in the summer perhaps topped with some almonds and goat cheese, or it can reach a new depth in a warm salad like my shaved brussel sprout and farro salad.

I like to keep glass bottles from salad dressings I’ve bought before. Just run them through the dishwasher and clean the label off of it. It’s perfect for homemade dressings!

Ingredients:

  • Zest and juice of 1 orange
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 Tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1/2 Tbsp sesame oil (substitute for more olive oil if you are not a fan of sesame oil)
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until well combined. Pour into a jar or bottle and store in the fridge. That’s all!
